Playing about with digitally ageing photos when I came up with this. Slight Vignetting around the corners and a washed out sepia effect. Seemed to suit the subject matter.

Another sculpture from inside one of the biomes at the Eden Project, Cornwall. It’s a really striking piece, with warriors and animals taking an agressive stance towards the visitor.

Some random plants from the Eden Project, Cornwall. I liked the transition of colours throughout the image, and the way the two plants intertwine ever so slightly, giving an impression of closeness and intimacy, despite being out in the open.

Wash it all away

I love taking to the time to just let moments wash over me. To experience them, but not be part of them. It’s really key to my whole persona. I’m never stressed, I never worry about anything. I don’t really get nervous and I don’t get angry. I think this in-built ability to take a step back and see situations for what they really are has shaped me as a person. It’s something many people are jealous of, yet others hate it.

I’m indifferent.

What lies beyond

There’s something about a door that’s left ajar. Some are inviting, some not so much. Some make you want to enter, without being inviting at all. And some make you fear for what’s beyond it’s exterior. The best ajar doors are the ones that make you enter, make you explore, and enourage you to discover.

A door left ajar is as much a gift as it is a weakness.

This is the obligatory “shallow depth of field” shot of a plant. I do like the way this particular plant arranges its leaves so architecturally, organic, but in an organised inorganic way.

Clevedon Pier, again. It really was a lovely sunset that day, waashing the sky in a deep orange colour. Taken using the excellent Gorrila Pod for stability and cropped in Lightroom.

This was a shot I originally discarded. I had 100’s of shots of the sunset around Clevedon Pier that evening, and other stood out more. But the more I passed this by, the more I thought about it. And Icame round to loving it. I hope you do to.

Eye Eye!

This first image is of my girlfriend. There’s a hint of a reflection in her eye, the reflection of a window rather appropriately. Taken with a Canon EOS 400d in the spare bedroom on a lazy Sunday and severly cropped and adjusted.
